Saunawood Protection Wax – 2.7 L

Tinted acrylic protective agent. FEATURES Used for surfaces in damp rooms. Prevents dirt and water from penetrating. Contains anti-mould agents. Suitable for wooden, fibreboard and concrete surfaces. Not suitable for sauna benches. USE Particularly suitable for walls and ceilings in sauna steam rooms and washing and changing rooms.  Application conditions The surface to be coated must be clean and dry. The ambient temperature must be at least +5 °C, the relative humidity must not exceed 80 percent. Surface preparation New wooden surface Remove dirt and dust. Lightly dampen with water. Allow to dry and sand to remove any splinters. Remove sanding dust. Old, dirty, or previously treated surfaces, e.g. with this product Wash with Supi Saunapesu detergent according to the instructions, rinse thoroughly with water and let dry. If necessary, sand the surface and remove sanding dust. Application Stir well before use and again when applying. Apply one coat of tinted or untinted product to the steam room walls. Thin with water if necessary. You can also apply 2 coats of a tinted product diluted with water (50% water by volume). This will make brush marks less noticeable. Apply two coats to wooden surfaces in washrooms and changing rooms. When applying the first coat, dilute the colored product with water (use approximately 20% water by volume). Only dilute the uncoloured product if necessary. Test the tinted product first in an inconspicuous area to ensure the colour is correct. When diluted, the product becomes slightly lighter and more transparent than shown in the colour chart. The final colour depends on the properties of the wood and the products used previously. For a uniform colour, cover a small area all at once, or if it is a large area covered with siding, cover 1-2 sidings at once. Note: Heat and ventilate the sauna thoroughly before use.
